Uche Fuels Comfortable Crystal Palace Victory at Shelbourne.
Even though entering their first-ever European campaign, Crystal Palace are adapting at a rapid pace. Without star players like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the London club departed Dublin with a comfortable win that virtually guarantees them a place in the Conference League qualifying rounds.
Another three points in their upcoming match against Finnish KuPS should be enough to secure straight entry to the knockout stages, especially after a previous stumble against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Seize the Opportunity
This occasion provided a chance for some of Palace's lesser-used players to impress. Christantus Uche, in only his second beginning after joining on loan from Getafe, opened the scoring with a clinical goal. Forward Eddie Nketiah added a second, scoring for the second consecutive match.
A Shelbourne team that had concluded their domestic season were no match against a mostly rotated Palace outfit. The visitors were already depleted by the reports that Mateta and Muñoz are out with knee injuries.

Shelbourne were clinging on for dear life. Full-back Kameron Ledwidge was lucky to avoid a booking for a couple of robust tackles on Yeremy Pino, before Chris Richards struck the crossbar with a header from a corner.
Pino Wraps Up the Game
The contest was as good as over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino meandered past a series of comically weak challenges before coolly dispatching a shot past goalkeeper Wessel Speel to extend the lead to 3-0.
Following the break, coach Oliver Glasner took the chance to rest several individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse almost scoring his first touch, only to see his effort blocked.
The youngster was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one attempt crash off each posts before being clasped on the line. Uche also missed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still room for development in his game.
The only concern for Palace was a second-half knock to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This paved the way for 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to earn his senior debut, capping an otherwise positive evening for the visiting side.
